#JusticeForGraceChan
Grace Chan is a devoted wife, loving mother, and esteemed community member who has consistently demonstrated integrity and respect for the law. However, she currently finds herself imprisoned under false charges that have not only devastated our family but also tarnished her reputation and subjected her to undue hardship.
Several key factors that indicate the absence of any legitimate grounds for these charges against Grace Chan:
The prosecution's case against Grace Chan is built on circumstantial evidence, lacking substantial proof of her involvement in the tragic demise of our son, Elliot. We have had medical professionals thoroughly examine Elliot's medical file, and they have provided clear explanations for his complex medical conditions, which ultimately led to his passing. It is evident that these conditions were beyond our control and not due to any negligence or malicious intent on Grace Chan's part.
Elliot suffered from severe vitamin d deficiency, rickets, evidence of a seizure, blood clots, Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), also called fetal growth restriction (FGR), and required surgery for multiple hernias.
Multiple maternal fetal medicine specialists, who oversaw Grace Chan's high-risk pregnancy, had strongly recommended terminating Elliot at various stages. However, driven by our profound faith and hope, we stood by our decision to give him a chance at life. It is crucial to acknowledge that the doctors' advice underscores the undeniable complexity of our circumstances and the challenges we faced during this pregnancy.
Grace Chan's extended absence from our family has inflicted severe emotional distress upon our surviving children. Our 5-year-old daughter desperately yearns for her mother's presence, while our surviving son has been deprived of his mother's love and care during his formative years. The well-being and development of our children are at stake, with potential lasting consequences.
Given these compelling factors along with our sixth amendment right that explicitly states that “the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy trial” and that a trial cannot be “unreasonably delayed”, we request immediate action to drop all charges against Grace Chan and facilitate her prompt release. The gravity of this situation goes far beyond our family's plight and has been unnecessarily delayed for over a year, and highlights the urgent need for justice and compassion within the judicial system.
We also request that the evidence is thoroughly reviewed and an unbiased reevaluation of this case is conducted.
I would be more than willing to provide any additional evidence, testimonials, or expert opinions that may serve to strengthen our case and bring further clarity to this matter. I am confident that a comprehensive reassessment will affirm Grace Chan's innocence and allow her to return to her rightful place within our family.
On behalf of our grieving family, I ask you to consider the profound consequences of continued detainment, not only for Grace Chan’s life but also for the well-being and future opportunities of our children.
